Burlesque!

Wasap everydody?!

Thought I'd make a quick post for today.

Last night I performed alongside miss Emilie and the beautiful Britney Shears. We did a number by Christina Aguilera 'Show Me How You Burlesque' and I had such a blast! It was an unforgettable experience also considering Christina has been a huge idol of mine for a very long time. We competed for the title Miss Roscoe's and we took it! Words can't even describe how happy I am for Britney. Hard work pays off ya'll!

Baby it's cold outside...

The holidays are here!! Despite the freezing cold, I find the holidays so warm and cozy. When I think of the holidays I picture family, loved ones, and hot chocolate.

I suppose all these things gives me a warm feeling in my heart that can even conquer Chicago's most brutal weather ^_^

Of course with the holidays, comes a beginning of a New Year! And if your anything like me, your probably sitting there and recapping the present year and how it has treated you. 2010 has been good to me. I did some traveling here and there. I will be in Vegas with the family for my first Christmas away from Chicago (estatic!!! ^_^)

This year, I'm blessed with yet another beautiful niece Alina Nguyen.

This year, I went outside of my box and joined my first ever hair competition and took second place (special thanks to James, Robbie, and Amanda for being part of the experience)!! In my Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice - I will be backkkk!!! HAHAHA

This year, I also woke up. No, not from a sleep. For as long as I could remember, I thought of life as a fairy tale. Therefore, I made up my own world. In my world, there was a castle made out of pink cotton candy which was guarded by talking cupcakes. The clouds tasted like pina colada and there was a strawberry smoothie waterfall. Perhaps I had an urge to escape reality, which resulted in me creating this dream-like paradise. This year, that world to me no longer exist.

Weave it to me baby!

Wow my last post was a month ago! July must have been a pretty busy month for me. Busy = productive = happier me! Not to mention I turned 23 as well!

For my birthday I got me some hurrrr!!! As some of you may know, I've been trying to grow out my hair for awhile after the drastic cut I did last year. However the growing process dragssssssss, therefore I decided to cheat and get hair extensions instead! Below you can see my previous pictures leading up to my new makeover do :D

Steptember 2005. I remember asking my stylist to give me the Ashlee Simpson haircut hahaha

October 2006. This is when kissy faces were trendy. And the hair? Yes, all mines.

April 2007. I had blonde ambitions and went a little shorter

July 2008. My 21st birthday with my loves and hair extensions :X

October 2008. Had to get the short bob outa my system! And I did.

August 2009. Awkward growing out stage and still doing that damn kissy face

June 2010. Growing out stage looking a little decent

July 2010. I got impatient and got me some weaveeeeeeee!

Like my friend/hairstylist Crystal says and I quote,

"If you can't grow it, sew it! If you can't achieve it, weave it!"

HELLO BLOGGEES!

I would like to dedicate this post to things I'm currently into at the moment.

I'm going to start off with my newest obsession and his name is Peter Thomas Roth.

At one point, I noticed my skin was getting extremely dry and I mean it when I say DRY. It was so bad that it actually hurts when I make any kind of facial expressions. Kinda like how Heidi felt after her 485743975 surgeries.

Granted, I don't get as much facials as I should (usually once a month is ideal!) but I was curious to see if there was any skincare product that would actually give a solution to my problem.

So I then approached makeup guru Dori and she recommended the PeterThomasRoth Un-wrinkle exfoliating pads. Since I completed trust her, I decided to give it a try! Without a doubt, my skin is breathing again. Even my esthetician asked if I've gotten a facial recently. INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For more information on PTR products, go to www.peterthomasroth.com

Next on my list...

Can be summed in two words and rhymes with SHARKS

Bring Out the Angel in YOU

Ever dreamt about what it would be like to be a Victoria's Secret model?

Strutting on the catwalk with ginormous wings on your back. A body to die for. Oh and how can I forget? Never having a bad hair day!

WELL LADIES, DREAM NO MORE!!!

For I have discovered the "secret" in Victoria's Secret that will guarantee to bring out the angel in you!

BALAYAGE ("to sweep" in french) is a french highlighting technique used to create a more natural dimensional result. Similar to an artist painting on canvas, stylists use a “sweeping” motion to paint highlights on the hair with a brush. In contrast to weaving highlights using foils, stylists use ceramic wrap to section the hair. Thus, giving them a bigger canvas to work on which allows more creativity.

OKAY OKAY! Enough with the logical stuff!

IT'S MAKEOVER TIME!

Meet Dori. My good friend and makeup artist before balayage.

FYI, I messed up her hair a little bit for the before shot in order for the makeover to seem more drastic so no she doesn't look that hot of a mess usually lol

Color "swept" on and processing

GETTTT IT GURLLLLL!!!!

Happy Birthday to my dearest Amy

Five years ago I stopped by the Disney store in downtown Chicago pondering what to get for my new born niece. After careful consideration, I decided to get her a piglet plush doll.

Why you ask? Well, that's because she reminded me so much of piglet herself

Hard to believe that today this little girl is turning 5 right before my eyes!! Before I know it she'll be doing science projects, attending dances, and *gasp* getting her first haircolor!! Oooh the pain...

This is Amy today

Her first piggybank... this girl and her piggies lol

Happy Birthday my little piglet!! Auntie loves youuuuu but I'm sure you know that by now ^.^

RELOCATING

GUESS WHAT EVERYONE?!?! I HAVE AWESOME NEWS!!

I HAVE DECIDED TO MOVE TO HAWAII TO FULLFILL MY LIFE LONG DREAMS!!!

I'M GOING TO LIVE ON A TINY HUT ON POIPU BEACH AND DO ALL OF THE TOURIST'S HAIR OUTSIDE OF MY HUT. AND IF I DON'T MAKE ENOUGH TO LIVE I'LL JUST BECOME A PART TIME HULA DANCER AT NIGHT. WHADDYA THINK?!?

YESSS? YESSSS???

LOLOL

I kidd I kidd!! I won't be going anywhere anytime soon. However I do have great news to share!! This weekend, May 1st 2010 around 6 pm (to be exact) my eldest sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and her name is Alina Ngoc Nguyen <3

Awwww look at that sweet face! Right now she's at the stage where all she does is eat, poop, and sleep. I can't wait till she gets some more personality and be more fun to play with!! Alina, if your reading this one day, auntie loves YOUUUU and can't wait to dress you up and give you cute little pigtails!!

While my eldest sister was gettin' her rest on at the hospital. Anh and I decided to buy a swing for our backyard AND we assembled it together from scratch! It was frustrating at times but worth it at the end!

Anh, being the meticulous, over-analyzing accountant that she is, has to stop and check for any loose screws

I didn't care and just jumped right on it. Anh started pushing the swing so hard it was about to tip over!!! HAHAHAHA

My fellow hairstylists, if you have yet to check out Beauty bar. You must go!

Hair dryers as seating areas lined up against the wall. Manicure services are provided in the front! Just all in all a very cool atmosphere to be in if you're in the bizzz, just sayin'!
